Our

beliefs

Under the authority of Scripture we believe:

  • The Bible

The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.

    2 Timothy 3:15-17

    1 Thessalonians 2:13

    2 Peter 1:21

  • One God

There is one true God. He made heaven and earth, loves us, and rescues us through Jesus. The Bible shows that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Christians call this the Trinity. One God, three persons, working in perfect unity.

    Deuteronomy 6:4

    Isaiah 43:10,11

    Matthew 28:19

    Luke 3:22

  • Creation

God created people in His image. We chose our own way and sinned, which brought death and separation from God. Jesus offers forgiveness and restores us to Him.

    Genesis 1:26-27

    Genesis 2:17

    Genesis 3:6

    Romans 5:12-19

    Luke 3:22

  • Humanity and Sin

We believe humanity was created good and in God’s image. Through sin, our relationship

with God was broken, bringing spiritual separation and brokenness into the world. Every

person needs restoration that only God can provide.

    Genesis 1:26–27

    Romans 3:23

    Romans 5:12

  • Jesus

He is the Savior of all people, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of Virgin Mary, very God and very man.

    Luke 3:22

  • Jesus' Death, Resurrection, and Ascension

He died for our sins, was buried, rose again on the third day, and appeared to His disciples. We believe in His bodily ascension to heaven and His bodily coming again for the Church.

    1 Corinthians 15:14

    Romans 4:25

    John 14:2-3

    1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

  • Salvation

Our only hope of redemption is Jesus Christ. He shed his blood to save us. We receive salvation by turning to God and trusting in Jesus. The Holy Spirit makes us new and renews our lives. We are saved by grace through faith. God adopts us into his family and gives us the hope of eternal life.

    Luke 3:22

  • Baptism and Communion

We practice water baptism by immersion as a public declaration of new life in Christ. We

also celebrate Communion as a remembrance of Jesus’ sacrifice and a proclamation of His promised return.

    Matthew 28:19

    Romans 6:3–4

    1 Corinthians 11:23–26

  • Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is present and active today. He lives within believers, empowers them to live

like Jesus, and enables them to be effective witnesses. We believe in the baptism in the Holy

Spirit as a distinct experience following salvation, evidenced by speaking in tongues, and

that spiritual gifts are given for the building of the church.

    Acts 1:8

    Acts 2:4

    1 Corinthians 12:4–11

    Acts 19:1–6

  • The Church and it's Mission

The church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers. We exist to worship God, care for

one another, make disciples, and share the gospel locally and globally. Every believer has a

role and purpose within the church.

    Matthew 28:19–20

    Ephesians 4:11–13

    1 Corinthians 12:27

  • Divine Healing

We believe God still heals today. Healing is provided through the power of Jesus’ sacrifice

and is experienced through prayer, faith, and God’s will.

    Isaiah 53:4–5

    James 5:14–16

    Matthew 8:16–17

  • The Future and Eternity

We believe in the resurrection of the dead and the final judgment. Those who belong to

Christ will live forever in the new heavens and new earth. Those who reject Christ face

    eternal separation from God.

    Revelation 21:1–4

    Matthew 25:46

    2 Corinthians 5:10

    Revelation 20:11–15
